Black Dog Ride

Generally this ride is held on the 3rd week in March in conjunction with other “pocket rides” held around Australia. Kangaroo Island normally attracts approximately 60 local motorcyclists with motorcyclists also joining from the mainland.

The ride is generally Kingscote to Rustic Blue for morning tea and to Flinders Chase National Park for a lions barbecue lunch. We then ride to Stokes Bay for coffee/ice-cream and then finish at the Parndana Community Hotel to finalise formalities. For further information log on to: www.blackdogride.com.au

This music event is generally held one week prior to the National Black Dog Ride at Rustic Blue Gallery and Café near Vivonne Bay.

General Island Rides

Every 1st Sunday of the month in the warmer months, a ride is organised from Kingscote to Penneshaw with a Kangaroo Island group of motorcyclists.  Generally we meet opposite the Caltex fuel station in Kingscote at approximately 10am for the run to the monthly markets in Penneshaw and a lazy lunch and return run.

Other motorcycle rides are quite often planned by local riders to other areas of the island and occasionally off island.
